How Much Can I Expect to Receive?

  • UIF pays between 38% and 60% of your average salary, depending on your income.
  • Payments are capped at R17,712 per month.
  • The total amount you receive depends on how many credits you have.
  • You can claim up to a maximum of 365 credits.

When Should I Apply?

  • Apply as soon as possible after becoming unemployed.
  • You must apply within 6 months of your last working day.
